Get ready for one of our best-selling single and solo travel weekends of every summer: The Montreal International Jazz Festival. Enjoy world-class restaurants and museums, and an unparalleled summer nightlife.

We would be remiss if we invited you to join us in one of our favorite cities for the largest jazz festival in the world – according to Guinness – without including tickets to one of the hundreds of indoor shows.

Last summer, some members of our single women travel groups got to see Rufus Wainwright perform, while others opted to purchase tickets to Pink Martini and Tony Bennett.

This year, we have included tickets to Colin James.

Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist Colin James was only 18 years old when he was asked by legendary bluesman Stevie Ray Vaughan to tour across the Prairies and the U.S. The first artist to be signed with Virgin America, James broke another record with his 1988 self-titled debut, the fastest-selling album in Canadian history at the time. Fast forward 20 years and James continues to awe as a musician and bandleader, crafting an infectious blend of blues-rock, swing and pop on Rooftops and Satellites (2009), his 13th studio album.

Every summer, the Montreal Jazz Festival welcomes 3,000 performers from 30 countries, who entertain some 2 million visitors. The shows, two-thirds of them free and covering just about all musical genres, are spread out across 10 outdoor stages and 15 concert halls. And of course, our hotel is within walking distance of all the action.

Is music not your thing? Do you prefer to laugh with some of the world’s most renowned comedians? Then join us in July for Just for Laughs (Juste pour rire), the world’s largest comedy festival.
