DAY 1: April 11, 2020. Arrival into LISBON, Portugal
Meet their local official who will move to your hotel upon your arrival at the airport. Enjoy your recreation time at the remainder of the evening. There will be a welcome dinner tonight to meet your traveling companions for the week.
DAY 2: April 12, LISBON-SINTRA CITY-CASCAIS–ESTORIL
After breakfast, you will have a panoramic visit to the city of Lisbon and arrive at Belém, the location of the Mosteiro de São Jerónimo of the XVI century, and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The magnificent Torre de Belém will be your next stop. Then you continue to Sintra village which is also classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
DAY 3: April 13, LISBON – OBIDOS – NAZARE – BATALHA – FATIMA – AVEIRO
With your first stop in the medieval fortified town of Obidos, continue to Nazaré, a typical fishing village and coastal resort, renowned for its elevated waves. The trip continues to Batalha and you have time to admire the monastery of Santa Maria identified as a UNESCO heritage site.
DAY 4: April 14, AVEIRO–LAMEGO–QUINTA NO DOURO–DOURO
You will proceed your journey to Pinhao, in the middle of the Douro wine area. For its cultural scenery, this town has been categorized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
DAY 5: April 15, DOURO – PINHAO – BOAT RIDE IN DOURO – GUIMARAES
Enjoy Pinhão, the wine region of the core of the Douro Valley, categorized as a cultural landscape by UNESCO. You will enjoy a boat ride among the vineyards and wine farms in the Douro River. Visit also the train station adorned with a set of lovely tiles displaying typical Douro Valley landscapes all linked to port wine making.
DAY 6: April 16, GUIMARAES–BRAGA–PORTO
You will take a stroll this afternoon to see Guimaraes ‘ historic town centre. You will tour Guimarães Medieval Castle and Bragança Palace Dukes.
DAY 7: April 17, PORTO
Your day starts with walking tour in Porto. Experience the historic town of Porto in southern Portugal, renowned for its crooked roads and a mixture of Moorish and Roman elements. Visit the historic town centre listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site, discover the cathedral and baroque churches of Porto.
