Overview
Join us as we explore the natural beauty of Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. We will enjoy easy hikes alongs gorgeous views of the gorges, canyons, red rocks and arches this area is famous for. Plenty of photo stops will give you a chance to get that perfect shot. This is a great way to get outside and enjoy nature and some of the best National Parks in the US.
We will also enjoy a fun filled day of adrenaline as we let our Wild Side out and enjoy rafting down the Colorado river and an ATV ride through the sand dunes.
A visit to Palisade, Colorado with some winery stops to taste the local wines and time to enjoy the galleries and quaint town will offer a variety of the experiences you can have on this tour.
Itinerary
Day 1: May 20, 2021 Thursday- Arrive into Grand Junction, CO (GJT)
Flights need to arrive by 1:30 PM where we will all share a transfer to the hotel in Palisades, CO. Upon arrival check into our hotel and then head to town for bit to enjoy the galleries and shopping. Next we head to 1 or 2 wineries to taste some of the local wines from this region. A welcome Dinner will be held at one of the wineries this evening.

Day 2: May 21 Friday - Canyonlands National Park, Moab, Utah
After breakfast we drive to Moab, Utah and head straight for the Canyonlands National Park. Here we will enjoy some scenic and breathing views as we hike along through the Red Rock mountains. Each hike is relatively easy and will provide photo stops and glorious views of canyons, arches and mountains.Some highlights include: Island in the Sky, Dead Horse state park, Mesa Arch, Green River overlook and more. Well enjoy a picnic lunch along the way.
After a fun day of hiking we head to our hotel and enjoy some to relax. Our hotel Amenities Include: pool, Hot Tub, Moab Museum of Film and Western Heritage, Tennis, Horseback riding daily wine tasting sessions at our Castle Creek Winery, located on-site. Tonight we enjoy dinner at the property with wonderful views over the Colorado river.

Day 3: May 22 Saturday - Adventure day with ATV tour and River Rafting
Today we will let our "Wild Side" out as we venture into to some fun and active adventures. We start off with and early AM breakfast and then head out to enjoy some ATV rides. Yes ladies it's time to let our wild side be adventurous and let loose. Enjoy the basic route of Hell’s Revenge to the Colorado River overlook into Arches National Park. This is a safe, but thrilling adventure. Load up and head right the Hells Revenge Trailhead. Enjoy the thrill of the petrified sand dunes and beautiful scenery of red rock hills, and snow-capped mountains. You'll be following your guide in your own new and easy-to-drive UTV/ SXS vehicle.
After our adventure we will stop for lunch in town before heading off on our next Wild adventure. Rafting down the Colorado River.
Our Utah river rafting is a scenic drive along Highway 128, a National Scenic Byway, which takes us to Onion Creek and the launch site. Now it’s time to hit the water! You will be treated to views of the majestic Fisher Towers and the La Sal Mountains before you hear the unmistakable sound of whitewater ahead!!! You will raft through Onion Creek, Professor Creek, New Rapid, and Rocky Rapid before hitting Whites Rapid — the best rapid on the river! Enjoy breathtaking canyon scenery and opportunities to swim, as well as information about the river, local history, geology, plants, and animals while you experience more splashy thrills. This is a Class II river rafting suitable for any one.
Back at the hotel time to relax and refresh after our fun day. Tonight we have a fun dinner planned in town. (B, L)
Day 4: May 23 Sunday - Arches National Park.
Our last day is spent enjoy the natural beauty of Arches National Park. Our guided hike will give you history of the park and area. Enjoy such sites as the Devils Garden, Landscape Arch, Delicate Arch, Balanced Rock, Turret Arch, South Window and more. All hikes are relatively easy and provides spectacular views of the natural landscape and red rocks that surround this magical area.
After a day of hiking enjoy some time to soak in the hotel pool or Hot Tub before we enjoy our farewell dinner tonight (B, D)
Day 5: May 24 Monday - Departure Day
After breakfast we depart for Grand Junction, CO for our return flight home. Flights MUST be booked after 1:00 PM. The drive is about 2 hours. (B)Tour Details

Entry Requirements: Visitors from Canada and other countries need a valid passport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date you intend to leave your country. Make sure you check your passport expiry date at least 2 months prior to travel. Before traveling abroad it's a good idea to make two photocopies of your passport, driver's license and credit cards. Leave one copy at home with a friend or family member and another bring with you.
Time Zone: Utah is in the Mountain Time Zone. They are 2 hours behind NYC.
Weather: Utah has mild weather with low humidity. Nature lovers relish springtime in Moab when the desert flora speckles the red rocks with yellow, purple and orange. And temperatures, ranging from the mid-70s to the low 80s, make for ideal hiking weather. Evening temperatures are a bit lower mid to high 50's.
Currency: The US currency is the dollar.
Electricity: US Standard Voltage is the 120 V. Most hotels provide hairdryers.
Taxes: Utah sales tax is 4.95%.
Health: There are no health issues for concerns for a trip to Utah.
Activity level: During the this Tour, we will travel by private van sometimes for a few hours at a time with comfort stops along the way. To be able to fully enjoy the tour and participate in scheduled activities, you need to be able to walk/hike at a leisurely pace, up to 3 or 5 miles on some days, many times this is on dirt or uneven surfaces. You should be able to stand unassisted for up to 30 minutes at times during the tours. This trip does have many hikes and most are easy or moderate hikes with rest stops along the way. This trip is pretty easy for the average person however if you can't or choose not to participate in certain activities this is at your own discretion. However it cannot affect the groups participation nor can any tours or activities or refunds be offered or changed due to an individual not being able or not wanting to participate in any activities.
