Itinerary
Day 1: April 26, 2023 Wednesday - Arrive into Phoenix Airport (PHX)
You must arrive by 12:00 noon and then we will drive to Sedona about a 2 hour drive. On the way will stop for a lunch break. Upon arrival in Sedona were off to the "Red Rock State Park" to enjoy a light hike and the magnificent views of the Red Rock mountains. During this hike we will experience some of the many "Vortexes" Sedona is famous for. Next we will check in to the hotel with time to relax.
Our hotel offers a wonderful selection of Experiences to connect body, mind and soul. During your stay here these daily experiences will be worked into the itinerary. These Include: Meditation, Yoga, Chaka Sketch and tell, Gong ceremony, Star Gazing, Live local music on the terrace.
Sky Rock Hotel for 4 nights. This evening we head into town for an authentic Sedona style dinner. (D)
Day 2: April 27 Thursday - Today is about the Natural beauty of Sedona.
Morning Meditation at 8:30 followed by Yoga at 9:00 AM. Then we take a to go breakfast and head to one of the most amazing hikes at Cathedral Rock.
This hike to the top offers amazing views over the Red Rocks, canyons and surrounding areas and is truly worth the effort if you make it to the top. The area surrounding Cathedral Rock is both magical with it's strong Vortexes and scenic.
A Vortex is a place in nature where the earth is exceptionally alive with energy. The term Vortex in Sedona refers to a place where the earth energy swirls and draws to it’s center everything that surrounds it like a tornado. At these magical sites, trees often exhibit this swirling or twisting of their trunks due the powerful vortex energy at the core of a Sedona Vortex.
After our hike it's time for some lunch and then to enjoy the local Arts and crafts Sedona is famous for. You can shop the local galleries for crafts, art, jewelry and local hand made goods. Back at the hotel you will have time to enjoy the pool and hot tub and have time to simply take in the beauty of the area. At 6:00 enjoy live music on the terrace, This evening we will enjoy dinner onsite with light bites. (B, L)
Day 3: April 28 Friday - Grand Canyon National Park
After breakfast we had out for a full day tour visiting the South Rim of the Grand Canyon national park. Experience a day trip to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World – the Grand Canyon. Visit Mather Point, historic El Tovar Hotel and Bright Angel Lodge, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Canyon itself. Explore Grand Canyon Village, Visit historic sites and structures, Take in unparalleled vistas, See a geological timeline of Earth’s history, Hear stories, facts and legends. Dine at the Village for lunch.
After we return back to Sedona your evening and dinner is at your leisure. Depending on our arrival time you can enjoy music on the terrace followed by the Gong ceremony.(B, L)
Day 4: April 29 - Saturday - Jeep tour around Sedona
Morning Meditation at 8:30 followed by Yoga at 9:00 AM. You may opt to rise early and watch the sunrise over the beautiful mountains with ever changing colors. After breakfast we head out for some wonderful views of the area on our Jeep tour. This tour will take us on an off road adventure as we drive through the Red Rock mountains and learn about the area, history, flora and fauna. You will also have time to explore the area of downtown Sedona and it's magnificent beauty.
Back at our hotel enjoy time to relax at the pool and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Early Farewell dinner tonight as we say goodbye to the beauty and nature of Sedona. At the hotel Experience the teachings of the Native American Medicine Wheel as it takes us through the journey of our life span, honoring the life giving elements, the four directions and how we can use this sacred hoop in our present life. June Araballo guides this ceremony and brings forth a new reverence for our life journey and our connection to spirit as we honor the ancient wisdom of our Elders.(B, D)
Day 5: April 30 - Sunday - Departure Day
After breakfast we depart for Phoenix for our return fight home. Flights MUST be booked after 1:00 PM. (B) Earlier or later flights
may require a separate private or shared transfer for additional $.

Time Zone: Arizona is in the Mountain Time Zone. They are 2 hours behind NYC. There is NO Daylight Savings Time in Arizona.
Weather: Arizona has mild weather with low humidity. Nature lovers relish springtime in Sedona when the desert flora speckles the red rocks with yellow, purple and orange. And temperatures, ranging from the mid-60s to the low 80s, make for ideal hiking weather.
Currency: The US currency is the dollar.
Electricity: US Standard Voltage is the 120 V. Most hotels provide hairdryers.
Taxes: Arizona sales tax is 5.6%.
Health: There are no health issues for concerns for a trip to Arizona.
Activity level: During the this Tour, we will travel by private van sometimes for a few hours at a time with comfort stops along the way. To be able to fully enjoy the tour and participate in scheduled activities, you need to be able to walk/hike at a leisurely pace, up to 3 or 5 miles on some days, many times this is on dirt or uneven surfaces. You should be able to stand unassisted for up to 30 minutes at times during the tours. This trip does have many hikes and most are easy or moderate hikes with rest stops along the way. This trip is pretty easy for the average person however if you can't or choose not to participate in certain activities this is at your own discretion. However it cannot affect the groups participation nor can any tours or activities or refunds be offered or changed due to an individual not being able or not wanting to participate in any activities.
