It’s vital as a woman to make sure we are prepared. It’s in our nature. Our anxiety is usually not so much about the Trip as it is if we are prepared. I like to compare packing as to going into combat.  What will I need? Who will I encounter? What events? Weather?  Outfits! It’s enough to drive me crazy. I have developed some packing tips for the woman who loves to travel.  Here are the tips to help you pack and feel prepared for wherever the journey may take you.

Dublin, Ireland’s Best Irish Music Places for Singles Vacations

Friday, April 25th, 2014

Best place to hear traditional Irish music…

Most Dublin pubs will host evenings of traditional Irish music but there are a few special pubs that have earned a reputation for having great live music.

Pubs to See while Traveling Alone

If you’re planning on going on any singles vacations and heading over to Dublin, Ireland, then you have to check out these pubs that are sure to play Irish music.

The Cobblestone

The Cobblestone fits into this category. It is a traditional, casual, city centre pub that hosts some of the best traditional music and roots sessions in all of Dublin.

O’Donoghues

O’ Donoghues has been associated with traditional Irish bands including The Dubliners and the Furey Brothers for what seems like forever. Both used to play regular sessions in the pub. Not much has changed in O’ Donoghues, including the décor which still maintains many of its original features. Traditional Irish music sessions place weekly and are highly regarded among musicians.

M Hughes

M Hughes is probably the least touristy of these pubs, due in most parts to its out of the way location. It’s the type of place where you’ll just happen to stumble upon set dancing classes and traditional music performances. The easiest way to reach M Hughes is to follow the Luas red line.

Women Return from Their Adventure to Rome

Saturday, November 24th, 2012

When you travel with Women Traveling the World, you will have the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful and historical places around the globe. While our trip to Greece was amazing and unforgettable, our recent trip to Italy may have just surpassed it. The great part about our travels is that while we’re on a women’s getaway vacation, we’re still absorbing so much culture.

Traveling Group in Rome Enjoying Italy

During our trip to Italy, we were treated to unforgettable, private tours of both the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel during our stay in Rome. We also had the opportunity to see the historical Coliseum, and the Trevi Fountain – safe to say that a few of us threw in a coin for good luck, but in the traditional way, which is with your right hand over your left shoulder.

Getting to See the Sights of Italy

After our adventures in Rome, we traveled to the Amalfi Coast – which is slightly further South – where we saw some of the most breathtaking views imaginable. During our stay along the coast, we visited three amazing towns:

  • Positano
  • Amalfi
  • Rovello

Discovering the Historic City of Pompeii

As a travel group for singles, we even had some time to visit the historic city of Pompeii, which was truly a surreal site to actually see, and we also has an opportunity to learn about the cities unique history, from its colonization to its ultimate destruction.

Following our stay on the Amalfi Coast, we took a trip to island of Capri, where we were treated to gelato – which you can’t get anywhere better than in Italy – and a pizza making class. After some more sightseeing, and walks through the stunning gardens, our trip came to an end. Once we returned back to the states, it was time to start planning our next adventure!
